Remember to register early - not only does it guarentee you a place in the class, it ensures that the class will not be cancelled. With budget cutbacks, we've lost a lot of classes (including JOURN 107) that do not fill quickly.
There aren't a lot of journalism classes being offered this fall, and the ones that are being offered meet at rather inconvenient times.
For instance, Magazine Writing [JOURN 107] has been moved to an inconvenient time slot -
MW 4:15 PM-5:47 PM
same place - SG140
same teacher - MOREAU, MICHAEL M.
ticket # 7112
If you want to be on the newspaper, El Vaquero [JOURN 103 and 104] it meets -
TTh 9:45 AM-11:57 AM
same place - SG140
same teacher - MOREAU, MICHAEL M.
ticket # - 4316
general newswriting [JOURN 102]is
TTh 1:30 PM-3:42 PM
up the hill a little ways - AT232
different teacher - CAUGHEY, BERNARD -
ticket # - 4315
In other words, if you have a daytime job, forget it.Broadcast journalism and photojournalism have not been offered for a few years now.
Sign up early - it is the best way to ensure that the class will make it and that you will be a part of it.
