More SoundSlides projects! Jane Pojawa put this together from some photos she took while documenting a flint knapping workshop at the Agua Caliente Cultural Museum in 2006.
This is a SoundSlides presentation that I made from a fire training exercise I photographed in La Canada. This was a very big deal - clearing the slum away to make room for what is being called the La Canada Flintridge Town Center. The property is owned by Sport Chalet and it was determined that the circumstances were such that a fire training exercise that included several stations could be done safely. Some of the new firefighters had never experienced a fully involved house fire. The oddest thing about this was that on a personal note, I lived in this house, briefly, as a house sitter.
